We sailed last friday and headed back out to the grounds to the south of the scillies, the fishing wasn't that great but what we were catching was prime fish.

We sailed on saturday and for the time of year the weather has been quite settled, the fishing has been steady, with a good mix of fish. We have travelled around a bit in the search for the best fishing, we started the trip away off to the south of the lizzard, then we moved to the west by a dozen miles and now we are to the south of the scillies.

We headed down to the boat late on new years eve, then we sailed and headed off some 30miles to the south of Newlyn. The weather had moderated from the day before when we shot and we had a lovely peaceful start to the new year and the fishing was pretty good as well.

We were out fishing on thursday and we were planning to carry on until monday as the weather was fine and although the fishing was slack the prices had been good up until then. Then we got a fax from PTA calling us in early to land on Fridays market as the prices were starting to fall away quickly.
